A gym built for training, not for posing
MEC Fitness is a strength, movement and conditioning gym in Peyad, Trivandrum, open from 5am to 10pm. It covers 3,400 sq ft: a 2,100 sq ft black, warehouse-style main training floor with racks and barbells, kettlebells, sandbags, sleds, battle ropes, landmines, slam balls and a cardio section, plus a separate 1,300 sq ft training space for women.
Our focus is simple. We help ordinary people become stronger, fitter and more capable in real life. That means learning to squat, hinge, push, pull, carry and move well, then building on those movements week after week with a plan.
How training at MEC works
- We start with your goal. A coach talks through your experience and what you want to achieve, then sets up a customised workout routine for you.
- Your routine progresses. It builds week by week, so you keep getting stronger instead of repeating random workouts.
- Every session has a purpose. Strength, conditioning, power, mobility: we tell you what you are training and why.
- Coaches stay on the floor. You are shown what to do, corrected when needed and encouraged when it gets hard.
Who trains here
MEC is a good fit if you are a beginner who doesn’t know where to start, an adult between 30 and 60 who wants to stay strong, a busy professional or parent with limited time, or someone who has started and stopped exercising before and wants it to stick this time.
You do not need to be fit to start. We meet you where you are.
