This Privacy Policy applies to MEC Fitness, a gym in Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and to the website mecfitness.com, including the MEC Workout Planner. “We”, “us” and “MEC” mean MEC Fitness.
We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
When you contact us or join the gym
- Your name, phone number and any messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email
- Membership details such as your plan, payment dates and attendance
- Health information you choose to tell us (for example injuries or medical conditions) so we can adapt your training safely
When you use the MEC Workout Planner
- Your questionnaire answers: goals, training experience, schedule, available equipment and any limitations you tell us about
- Your name and contact details (such as email and phone) so we can deliver your plan
- A record of your purchase. Payments are handled by Razorpay, and we never receive your card or UPI details
When you browse mecfitness.com
- Pages you visit, links you click (for example WhatsApp or planner buttons), approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel using cookies
2. How we use it
- To provide your membership, classes, coaching and workout plan
- To reply to your messages and send information you ask for
- To keep training safe, using any health information you share
- To understand how people use our website and improve it
- To show our ads to people likely to be interested, and measure whether they work
- To meet legal and accounting requirements
We don’t sell your personal data.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with services that help us run MEC, and only what they need:
- Payment processing: Razorpay
- Website hosting: Hostinger
- Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Meta Pixel, Facebook and Instagram ads)
- Messaging: WhatsApp, if you message us there
- Authorities, if the law requires it
4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies for analytics and advertising (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel), and small technical cookies needed for the site to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage Meta ads in your Facebook ad preferences.
5. How long we keep it
Members can rejoin MEC at any time, so we keep your membership record until you ask us to delete it. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and messages and enquiries only as long as they are useful.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (unless we must keep it by law). You can also withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To make a request or raise a concern, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children
Our services are for adults. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian’s consent to join the gym or use the planner, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children without it.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including a secure (https) website and trusted payment and hosting providers. No system is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your data has been misused.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
