If you live or work around Peyad, there are a few gyms to choose from. The right one depends on your goals, your experience and how you like to train. Here is how to decide, and what to expect at MEC Fitness.
Start with your goal
| If you want… | Look for… |
|---|---|
| To learn to train as a beginner | Coaches on the floor and a structured programme |
| To get stronger and move better | Free weights, space, and strength-focused coaching |
| General fitness on your own schedule | Convenient hours and a location close to home or work |
| To build muscle as an experienced lifter | Plenty of racks, barbells and heavy equipment |
Location and timing matter more than you think
The best gym is one you’ll actually go to. Pick somewhere you can reach in 10–15 minutes from home or work, open at the times you can train. MEC Fitness is about five minutes from Pallimukku Mosque, open from 5am to 10pm, with parking for two-wheelers and cars.
Visit before you join
Look at the space at the time of day you would train, ask how beginners are supported, and see if the atmosphere suits you.
